Start with the match result
A standard 1X2 market has three outcomes: home win, draw or away win. Settlement usually covers regulation time plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalties are normally excluded unless the market explicitly says otherwise; read the rules first.
Separate the markets
Double chance covers two match outcomes and generally has a lower price. Over or under goals concerns the combined goal total. Both teams to score requires each team to score at least once. These are different questions about the same match.
Read the bet slip
Confirm the fixture, competition, date, market, selection, stake and odds before accepting. For a handicap or a whole-number total, check how a draw or exact total is treated. Do not assume all markets have identical void rules.
Keep perspective on live betting
Live prices move quickly and broadcasts can be delayed. A recent goal or a run of wins does not make the next outcome predictable. Set a session limit in advance and avoid rushed decisions.
